Botterbusch, a 14-time all-American swimmer, led the Bombers to four Empire 8 championships, a in holy matrimony of shape titles and a 13th-place wrap up at the NCAA championships. Burton, a two-time all-American aim guard, departed the basketball troupe as the program's ruler in assists, three-point baskets and free-throw percentage. Bombers triple named all-region Ithaca seniors Pete MacDaniel and Dylan Perez and sophomore David Ahonen were honored by the American Baseball Coaches' Association Tuesday as all-New York Region selections.
MacDaniel, the Empire 8 Pitcher of the Year, compiled an 8-1 history and a 2.76 earned joyride middling in 13 games. Ahonen led the Bombers in hitting (.391) and people's home runs (5), and ranked third with 32 RBIs.
Both MacDaniel and Ahonen were second-team picks. Perez was a third-team selection. He hit.375 and drove in 30 runs with 11 extra-base hits and two homers. St. John Fisher freshman Teagan Barresi, a Lansing graduate, was named a first-team selection.
The only freshman named to the start with team, he hit.384 in 39 games, tying for the line-up direct in RBIs (39), runs scored (44) and retreat runs (6). Barresi was named the Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Year.
