NEW HAVEN - Jordan Linblad is 18 years lasting and that's how lengthy of a rap he was handed Friday in Superior Court, for shooting two other juvenile men terminal October. Linblad was sentenced Friday on one judge of first-degree assault. He also received one-year sentences on two counts of carrying a handgun without a permit. The weapons sentences will be served concurrently with the violation sentence. According to Hamden police, Linblad began shooting at 5:15 p.m. on First Street, but he did not hit anybody in that incident.
Police find creditable he was seeking repayment against another juvenile who allegedly stabbed him with a screwdriver a month earlier. Police said several people, including Kendall and Gilmore, approached the construct door of Linblad's billet on Dixwell Avenue at about 6:40 p.m. that same night, in retaliation for the earlier gunfire. That's when Linblad opened fire.
Linblad's MySpace foot-boy said at that time: "listen…i got bullets 4 each of u if nuttin else at least i no my dreams is reachable." The missive didn't spell out any individual target. The locale also had several pictures, including one of Linblad posed with his lift exhausted as if a gun. The caption said: "if u no me u no wat im packin n it aint my finger.
