The valedictorian of the Class of 2010 is Amber Rose Capogrossi, daughter of Ted and Yvonne Capogrossi, who reside in Newfield. Amber Rose Capogrossi has achieved a scholastic mediocre of 98.94 during her tainted mould career. During this tempo she has received the New York State Regents Academic Excellence Scholarship, Outstanding Freshman Award, Newfield Fire Company Science Award, Marine Scholastic Excellence Award, Leon Krause Memorial Award, Cornell University Alumni Association Award, University of Rochester - George Eastman Young Leaders Award, and the Lions Club Student of the Month Award.
Amber also received Highest Average awards in English 9, Global History I, Math I, Earth Science, Physical Education, Spanish 3, Math A, Global History II, English 10, Math B, History 201/202 and English 11. Amber has achieved High Honor Roll and Student of Distinction every marking epoch throughout huge school. Amber also applied to and was accepted as a evaluator of the notable New Visions Life Science program through Cornell University.
In annexe to her learned achievements, Amber has participated in numerous extracurricular activities including Varsity Volleyball and Track, Ithaca Academy of Dance, New York State Music Association Solo Festival, Empire Girls State, High School Drama Club, National Poetry Out Loud Participant, Access to College Education, Student Council (President), Class of 2010 Officer (President), National Honor Society and the National FFA organization. Upon graduation Amber will be starting her undergraduate program at Ithaca College in the exploratory program, where she hopes to construct for a job in the veterinary sciences. Benjamin Guion Lillard has achieved a scholastic standard of 97.92 during his expensive creed career. He has received the New York State Academic Excellence Scholarship, Newfield Fire Company Award - Math Award, 2007 American Math Competition (2nd place), 2008 American Math Competition (1st Place), University of Rochester - Bausch and Lomb Award, Mason Award for Outstanding Junior Male, Rochester Institute of Technology Innovation and Creativity Award, Outstanding Junior fellow of Chorus, and the Outstanding Junior colleague of Band. Ben has achieved High Honor Roll and Student of Distinction every marking span throughout favourable school.
Ben also received excellent scores on two self-directed Collegeboard Advanced Placement exams in Calculus AB and Calculus BC.
