March 18, 1980 - John Favara, 51, a neighbor of the Gottis in Howard Beach, Queens, strikes and kills John Gotti’s 12-year-old son Frankie after the youth darts in aspect of his jalopy on a motorbike. They endure the custom every year afterward. 1983 - Judge rules Favara dead. No body is found and no charges are filed. March 8, 2001 - Mob top-notch Jerry Capeci identifies eight Gotti party members as having played a place in the abduction and slaying.
They were: Angelo Ruggiero, Wilfred (Willie Boy) Johnson, Gene Gotti, John and Charles Carneglia, Anthony Rampino, Richard Gomes and Iggy Alogna. Victoria Gotti tells the Daily News neither she nor her now-dead partner had anything to do with Favara’s demise. Jan. 7, 2009 - Prosecutors estimate informant Kevin McMahon claims Charles Carneglia told him Favara’s body was put in an grease drum that was filled with acid, dissolving it.
