n SOUTH CHURCH BIRD HOUSE AUCTION: will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 28 and includes a catered buffet supper at the Frank Jones Center, Portsmouth. Auctioneer will be Joe Shanley.



Bidding will be on a substantial collection of items that have come to detail the Kitchen, Food and Wine Auction. Its acclaimed wine sweeps will again be held and the timely conquering hero will hike away with a mothball well-rounded of wine. Admission and draw tickets ready at South Church office, 292 State St. or ask 436-4762.






Tickets are $20 in forward and $25 at the door, or procure a sweepstakes ticket for a trip to wine sticks in Napa Valley, Calif., for $60. Scattered at locations downtown are 10 signature bird houses created by yard craftsmen and artists which will be sold on the dusk of the auction.
