Obituaries: Douglas M. Jamison, 51




LOUISA, Va. - Douglas Michael "Mike" Jamison, 51, of 1462 Schoolbus Road, and hitherto of Chambersburg, Pa., died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, in Maui, Hawaii.



Born July 17, 1957, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Wilda Brown Jamison Mills of Chambersburg and the behindhand Merle Jamison, and the stepson of Edwin L. Mills of Chambersburg. He was a construction superior for T and B Equipment Co. in Ashland, Va., erecting bleachers for PGA and NASCAR events. He served two tours in Korea with the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1980. He raced his own auto in Chester, Va.

In totting up to his genesis and stepfather, he is survived by two sisters, Lucinda Maciejewski of Kenosha, Wis., and Debra Hanlon of Vinton, Va.; one niece; three nephews; and one great-nephew. The blood will meet with friends Friday from twelve o'clock until entombment services begin at 2 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Mike Sanders will officiate.



Military honors will be conducted at the sepulture accommodations by members of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599.
