Douglas cheerful budget accordance will be reached




Gov. Jim Douglas says he's confident a budget conform can be worked out between him and Vermont lawmakers. But the governor says a deal needs to be reached by prematurely next week if lawmakers are to adjourn for the year as scheduled May 8. Douglas also says he opposes a map to introduce lawmakers back in a pointed period if revenues smidgen more than 4 percent after they go harshly for the year.
