India Beaufort. Tivo it: 'Bones' and 'Krod Mandoon and The Flaming Sword of Fire' Know.

Anyone in the spirit for something extremely dizzy should stint to Comedy Central’s hour-long one of a kind premiere of “Krod Mandoon and The Flaming Sword of Fire” (9 p.m.), a broad, off and on ungainly but usually facetious spoof of mirage films. Sean Maguire of “Meet the Spartans” (an marked inspiration) stars as Krod, the buff but thin-skinned commandant of a unconstraint fighting company that includes a sexually unhindered pagan (India de Beaufort), an inexpert warlock (Kevin Hart), a half-pig marksman with very non-standard intend (Steve Speirs) and the wildly many-coloured lover of Krod’s recent mentor (Marques Ray).

Best of all, perhaps, is the malignant evil-doer they face - an incompetently deathly chancellor played with side-splitting relish by Little Britain’s Matt Lucas. As is most of the time the state with such spoofs, some jokes go too far and some don’t go far enough - but enough debark to keep you amused through the hour. And at least it’s a revolution of stride from crime dramas, Aristotelianism entelechy shows and under-powered, slice-of-life sitcoms.

Krod won’t transform your life, but it may appoint you laugh, and that’s something.
