Planning sufferance has been given for the sculpture of a gull to impression the start and finish of the Raad ny Foillan (Way of the Gull) coastal path. Douglas.




The carve will be sited on Douglas parade A group of a bird with a 13ft (4m) wing time is to have a changeless home ground in the Isle of Man. Planning allowance has been given for the sculpture of a gull to symbol the start and finish of the Raad ny Foillan (Way of the Gull) coastal path. The £30,000 fibreglass bird will be sited at the beginning to the Bottleneck wheels parkland on Douglas Promenade. Perched on a 33ft (10m) tripod, it will posture as a bluster vane and a milestone on the 95 mile (153km) coastal pathway.
