NEW YORK (AP) - A clothing caller known for its savoury ads is fighting a $10 million lawsuit brought by Woody Allen, arguing that it can't have damaged his position by using his example because the coating gaffer has already ruined it himself. The 73-year-old Allen started the melee against American Apparel Inc. when he sued the plc most recent year for using his figure on the company's billboards in Hollywood and New York and on a Web site. Allen, who does not confirm products in the United States, said he had not authorized the displays, which the Los Angeles-based assembly said were up for only a week.
