A few questions for the parents out there: Ever heard of Mojo? What about K-2? And are you bold with Four Loko? If the serve is "No" to any or all of these questions, then just enquire your kids. Chances are, they'll know. Mojo and K-2 are stale names for an herbal incense sprayed with a synthetic, cannabis-like creditworthy that mimics the clobber of marijuana and is sold at many convenience stores.
Four Loko is an alchy beverage that is prevailing with kids. Both were licentious topics Tuesday edge of night amongst parents and children at a forum hosted by the Jefferson Parish Alliance of Concerned Citizens at Household of Faith Family Worship Center in Harvey. "I have a cousin who's addicted to Mojo," one number said. "I'm tough to get her advise prerogative now." "It's theorized to be incense, but incense as I distinguish it is supposititious to be burned, not smoked," said Norma Broussard, JPACC chairwoman and Jefferson Parish aide-de-camp department attorney.
Of course, both those in house as well as the numerous schoolchildren and under age adults interviewed in cut video segments projected onto several of the church's monitors, admitted that the actual utensil -- marijuana -- is also pervasive amidst youthful people. "It's too tranquilly to get," an East Jefferson High School devotee said during one of the video segments. Prescription drugs, such as Xanax, Vicodin and Oxycontin, are also dangerous, addictive, and, unfortunately, thriving drugs mistreated by infantile people. But the most universally occupied medicine by teenage nation is still alcohol.
Not surprisingly, it is also the most agreeably nearby -- often because it is provided by the parents themselves. Several of the students interviewed for one of the video segments said that they had been at parties where John Barleycorn was served with the insight of the parents, or in some cases, was provided by the parents. "There's this position all some parents that, 'Hey, my kids are booming to drink, so they might as well the sauce under our supervision,' " one undergraduate said.
