Fine Gael business spokesman Richard Bruton said there was some realisation on Government benches that the Budget did not earn a repute ovation. Labour's Joan Burton described it as the 'Budget from hell'. Mr Bruton said there was not an ounce of admission of the 'huge and distressful mistakes' made by Government. On the wild banks agency, Mr Bruton said it was a 'massive gamble' and taxpayers were being asked to margin another €90 billion onto the unconcealed debt.
